BridgePoint

Objective Spectrum's automation tools for the Schlaer-Mellor methodology are collectively referred to as BridgePoint. Designed from the ground up to support design by translation, BridgePoint provides a complete automation solution. BridgePoint consists of three tools, which together elevate a development team from code writing to a graphical Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) environment.

* BridgePoint Analyst is an Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) modeling tool. Analyst guarantees the data collected is correct, consistent and complete. Complete code generation requires correctly formed data.

* BridgePoint Sim is a non-invasive behavioral simulation tool. Simulation helps eliminate otherwise costly system faults early in the process.

* BridgePoint Gen is a general purpose translation engine. Gen translates OOA graphical models into executable source code. User designed software architectures determine the resulting source code. Software architectures making use of any source code languarge (Ada, C, C++, Smalltalk...) and implementation characteristics (relational data base storage, multi-processors, multi-tasking, file storage,...) can be supported by BridgePoint Gen.
